BMoCA’s bring-your-own-art Friday night bash draws 650

My how the word got out, and the young people whooshed in

More than 650 packed Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art Friday night, Jan. 22, for “Open Wall 2010,” the return of that annual BMoCA party wherein artist bring, hang and sell their own art. The youngish crowd was chock-a-block, kissy-face friendly and oh so happy to be there.

boulder-confidential-logo-220Sales of the pretty-damn-good art benefited, first of all, the artists — who kept half of whatever was bid on their piece. The other half of the loot was split between [see comments below] went to BMoCA. The other sponsor, organizer and promoter that jungle telegraph website of the young and yogic, Elephant Journal. Dress was the usual Boulder eclecticism, from grunge to ooo-la-la.
