Interview with Food and Water Watch's Patty Lovera

| Aug 26, 2010

The Department of Agriculture and the Department of Justice are holding a public workshop on Friday August 27, in Fort Collins, to look at the issue of competition in the livestock industry. Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be participating.

This is the fourth in a series of five public workshops being held nationally and it will focus on the state of competition and regulation in the livestock sectors, in particular the cattle industry. To coincide with that event, food justice activists from around the country are gathering in Fort Collins for their own public workshop.

One of the participants is Patty Lovera, Assistant Director of Food and Water Watch. She spoke with KGNU’s Maeve Conran.
