The fervent desire of many for healthcare reform was strongly in evidence as about 400 people held a candlelit vigil at the Central Park bandshell Wednesday night, Sept. 2.

Speakers from Healthcare for All Colorado, MoveOn and other groups laid out the case for reform, mostly letting facts do the talking. Congressman Jared Polis’s remarks drew the most attention and excitement. Boulder was one of about 300 sites for similar vigils organized by MoveOn and held nationwide last night.

The size of the crowd — plus the impact of hundreds of lit candles — made for a moving experience on a warm late-summer night.
